Italian and Cookery
What better way to immerse yourself in the local culture than a combined Italian language and cooking course.
This course is for non-professionals and it is a part of Italian language courses , with a chef and an experienced Italian teacher who will explain and guide you through the recipes and all equipment will be provided for the preparation of the recipes.
First lesson: FREGOLA
Fregola is a Sardinian pasta similar to couscous. It's handmade with course semolina and water and then rubbed to form the little pellets of pasta. The pasta is then toasted to give a nutty flavour. It will be cooked in two different ways and tasted with Sardinian traditional white wine.
Second lesson: SA PANADA
It's a type of pie full of vegetables and meat which goes well with a Carignano wine or a Cannonau wine.
Third lesson: PARDULE
It's a typical Sardinian sweet, made of ricotta (fresh cheese)
The course is divided in three lessons of about 3 hours; each lesson will be
followed by a dinner and students will eat what they have just prepared
while sampling the local wine.
