How Does it work?
You don't even have to stay at the agriturismo, it's possible to pop in for a meal. Food served in Agriturismo will be typical to the area and the majority of it cultivated and bred at the Agriturismo itself. Dishes will vary depending on seasonal produce available, guaranteeing you eat the freshest of produce. In Sardinia you are sure to have a selection of fresh pastas, suckling pig, strong pecorino cheeses, rounded of by the famous Sardinian Dolci and a generous helping of Mirto- the local after dinner liqueur. It isn't always necessary to book, but this will very much depend on the season. It's always better to contact the agriturismo in advance to make sure of availability. For meals you pay from 20-40 euros and accomodation including meals can start from around 55 euros. Book through our site to reserve meals or accomodation
What else do Agriturismo offer?
Agriturismo are normally located in the heart of the countryside so be prepared for a bit of a treasuer hunt to find them! Many have nature trails and activities such as assisting with farm tasks, picking fruits, riding horses, wine tasting and learning activities for children. Some even have gift shops in which you can buy local handcrafts and produce. Agriturismo near the seas may offer boat outings and canoe trips, but If this sounds like too much hard work you can always just choose to relax in the countryside while enjoying some wonderful home cooking and a few glasses of local wine.
