The ‘unfortunately’ named ARST bus service operates throughout Sardinia between the major cities and local towns. This site allows you to select your departure point(partenza) and the stop you want to go from(fermata). It is advised to check bus times at the local bus stations as these times are prone to change. This bus service has improved in recent years with the introduction of new ai-conditioned buses and a shake up in the punctuality. ALGHERO TO CAGLIARI ( LOGUDORO TOURS)
The qickest way to get from Alghero to Cagliari is to use the airport bus. These buses go from Alghero airport to Piazza Mateotti in the center of Cagliari. Tickets are bought on the bus ( roughly 20 euro). Turn right out of the airport at Alghero and walk for about 50 meters to the bus bay. Journey time approx 2.5 hours. Buses run from Cagliari to Alghero Airport in accordance with flight departures please check this site as timetables can change frequently

UNDERSTANDING THE TICKETS
Timetables and local bus tickets can be bought from the edicola (small newspaper stands) or tobacconists before boarding the bus. YOU CANNOT BUY TICKETS ON THE BUSES.
Remember to stamp your ticket in the machine on the bus to avoid a fine
Biglietto ordinario also called Biglietto da una corsa
Tickets cost 1 euro and are valid for 90 minutes. Tickets must be validated when you enter the bus butyou can change bus as many times as you want within the 90 minute period.

Valid for 24 hours Price 2.30 euro
Biglietto da 12 corse (12 journeys) :
This entitles you to twelve 90 minute journeys and costs 10 euro .
