Sardinia Kitesurf

The white sand beaches and crystal waters of Sardinia attract kitesurfers from all over the world. The wind conditions are ideal for at least 10 months of the year. The four seasons bring winds from different directions to Sardinia, and each wind providing its own distinct kitesurfing experience
In particular the south west coast of Sardinia, is a paradise for kite surfing spot with many freestyle and wave conditions. The wind is the mistral (north west). During the spring and summer the Azores anticilone arrives on the Mediterranean, and the high pressure carries N-NW winds with average speed (15-25 knots).
Please note that according to regulations of the Coast Guard and Port Authority, during the period May 1st – September 30th, kitesurfing is only permitted in designated areas this applies to the whole coastline of the island. On the southwest coast kite highlight the areas of Chia, Poetto,Porto Botte and Maddalena Beach (common Capoterra – CA).
